The very first Hooters to open was in Clearwater, Florida on October 4th of 1983. Since 1983, Hooters has gone through many changes and transformations but they are all for the better of the restaurant business and making their menu products better.

Although the uniform, logo, and overall ambiance is still very much like the original Hooters. They still have the casual bleach themed furniture and style with the “oldies” jukebox music, sports on all of the televisions, and a menu that includes everything. Then there are of course the just about “world famous” Hooters Girls who are just as acceptable as the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Radio City Rockettes, or a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. The Hooters Girl uniform includes orange skimpy shorts, a white tank top with the Hooters logo on it, pantyhose, a bra, and high top socks with white tennis shoes. Sometimes the girls can where short sleeve or long sleeve shirts with their orange shorts as well.

Although Hooters is not particularly a family restaurant they do welcome all ages into their restaurant and they do have child menu for the small 10 percent of people who come in with their kids.
