San Fransisco 49ers Ticket Discounts
The San Francisco 49ers first started a team in 1946 and ever since then they have had many years of success. In 1950, San Francisco along with a couple other teams including Baltimore and Cleveland were all awarded NFL franchises. This made the San Francisco 49ers the first major team to be based in San Francisco. Super Bowl XVI was the one where the fans were fighting for discount tickets to see their team in their first championship game. Sure enough the 49ers walked away with their first victory of 26-21, this made the fans extremely happy. That day was a shivering minus 27 degrees out with a killer wind chill but the fans of the 49ers were not complaining, they were just happy to be there. The San Francisco 49ers, also often known as the “Niners” had a winning streak of winning 10 or more games throughout 16 seasons straight.
Throughout the season of 1984 and 1989 the team was noticed even more with having three time Super Bowl MVP Joe Montana, Pro Bowler Ronnie Lott, highest career quarterback rating holder Steve young, along with career touchdown leader Jerry Rice all played for the 49ers. The San Francisco 49ers have had some very memorable plays and games such as “The Catch” and Super Bowl XXIII. “The Catch” was played when the 49ers were playing against the Cowboys and the Cowboys were leading 27-21 with only 4 minutes and 54 seconds remaining. Joe Montana had to do what he had done for Notre Dame as well as the 49ers so many times, he would roll to the right and throw the ball off balance to Dwight Clarke who was in the end zone.
Dwight would catch the ball and it would end up putting the 49ers in the lead by one point. The 1950’s were some of the 49ers biggest moments, they became a part of the NFL as well as formed the famous “Million Dollar Backfield” which consisted of four players that were also future Hall of Famers. These players included quarterback Y.A. Tittle and running backs John Henry Johnson, Hugh McElhenny, and Joe Perry. Throughout 1988 and 1989 the San Francisco 49ers had back to back Super Bowls for Super Bowl XXIII and Super Bowl XXIV. On October 20, 2008 the 49ers head coach Mike Nolan was fired and the assistant head coach, Mike Singletary took Nolan’s place. Mike Singletary is also in the Hall of Fame with the Chicago Bears, he got the 49ers through 2008 as well as 2009 with many wins. Mike Singletary did an interview after a losing game and he said as head coach “But right now, we’ve got to figure out the formula. Our formula. Our formula is this: We go out, we hit people in the mouth.”
The quarterbacks of the San Francisco 49ers now are David Carr, Nate Davis, and Alex Smith. Getting some discounted game day tickets are a great gift for your best friend, husband, or relative for any occasion. The 49ers are also very in touch with their community, they have the 49ers Foundation, Youth Football, Respect Campaign, Stadium Drives, Unity Reward, Community Requests and much more. The colors of the team are red, gold, and white. The cheerleading team for the 49ers is called the Gold Rush Squad, they cheer on their team as well as the crowd. They also help with the community with appearances and helping the team with their foundations and community services.
